Rare Giant Jellyfish - lacks stinging

Extract: This past April, a rare giant jellyfish known as Stygiomedusa gigantean was spotted swimming in the Gulf of Mexico for the first time ever.

These animals are 3 feet in diameter across the "bell" or head, and have four tenticle arms that are 20 feet long. Although the creature's size makes it quite intimidating, it lacks the stinging capabilities of its smaller cousins.

You can see it on video if you click on the link.
