Sun shining, low wind (though icy). We found a large sea bean :) Very excited. Seaweed was slightly rank but not too bad. Here it is collected off the beach and stored in large piles off shore, for later use for fertilizing the land.
Otherwise , if you turned a blind eye to the plastic pollution it was a grand day. Good to see the sun shine again, on an off the whole day.
Very icy wind got stronger later in the day, will there be snow?
Lots of plastic washed up on beach. We collected some washed up fishing nets, that would otherwise entangle marine wildlife, to dog proof our garden fence. Thats recycling! Instead of leaving it to ly there littering the beach and a potential hazard. We also collected some other litter, though it did not make an impact. Need a big clean up of the beach by the community!!
